Needles
Japanese label Needles was founded in 1997 by designer Keizo Shimizu with just one piece: a simple loose-fitting jacket inspired by a suit worn in the 1960s by a young Miles Davis. Instrumental in bringing American apparel to Japan, Shimizu later launched the label Engineered Garments. With his Needles collaborator, Daiki Suzuki, he’s developed original pieces that riff on American vintage denim and military style. The collection features bombers, shirting and track pants, as well as its sought-after Ghillie trainers.
